My impression is the game was a basic port to the Amiga from the Atari ST version. The ST version [and video is on YouTube] runs faster but the music to the intro on the Amiga version is fantastic in comparison and the sound fx are better too. Of course, most publishers also couldn't be bothered to bring out updates for say the AGA graphics of the later Amigas nor the enhanced sound and graphics of the Atari STe or Falcon lines so the owners of both platforms got hosed!

Of course, if you were actually an Atari ST owner, you'd know that Speedball 1 & 2 were released for it!

Remind me, what had better sound capabilities, was it the ST or the C64? Which one had hardware scrolling and hardware sprites? Oh, the C64 again.

@qettyz yeah, i fail hard at this. haven't played it since i was younger, think i was too scared to go back. saw a vid a minute ago of a confident dude who ran through the whole of first level, only to get iced on the second. more retro gaming please!!!
