Historic Military Search in Turkiye

Turkiye saw a first in its history as civilian authorities conducted a search on a military unit. Observers say the search may shed light on the countrys criminal past.

Two officers of the Tactical Mobilization Group of the Special Forces Command were recently captured as they stood watch near the house of ArInç in Ankaras Çukurambar neighborhood.

On Saturday, eight more military members were detained in the same investigation.

The Tactical Mobilization Group of the Special Forces Command is believed to be the equivalent of Turkiyes Gladio.
