  • Why do all radio guys look like they should be selling old Heathkit rigs at a Hamfest?

  • In all fairness, don't forget that this interview was taped more than 25 years ago.

By any chance, do you recall what YOU looked like in your 1982 fashions?!?![LOL]

  • Larry Sprinkle.....Anyone who lived in Charlotte can't forget that name....or Robert Murphy for that matter. John Boy and Billy looked up to these guys. Where did you get this video? Brings back memories.

  • Scott Slade is now the NUMBER ONE morning radio host in Atlanta at 750 WSB-AM. His ratings on a NEWS radio station beat all other stations in that time slot.

  • don't forget carl raeford and hello henry bogan. WROQ at the time was the rockingist.

  • Doreen has as nice of a voice as she looks. She was in Cleveland in the mid-'80's.

  • Larry Sprinkle was a dj at our hs dance....

  • Channel 9's logo reminds me of what WGN's channel 9 logo used to look like a long time ago.

  • You remember Doreen Gentzler too eh?.....I sent her an email a few months back and she did reply back.

  • I remember Jay Thomas, Ray Gooding, Robert W. Murphy, Larry Sprinkle....I remember when John Boy and Billy were on WBCY before they got to work for WRFX. I remember when WROQ played real rock n' roll. WAME am radio.

  • Yep...I remember when Robert Murphy was on the radio on Big WAYS in Charlotte back in the late '70's and Larry Sprinkle was his side kick. Larry was also 'Pop Tart' in the Tarts electronics stores ads on TV. And I'll bet you that John Boy and Billy will give credit to Robert Murphy.

  • scott slade is on 750 am here in atlanta now
