This looks like 1985... the first year of this lineup; Jamie James, Rikky Venus aka Eric Pelton on bass, and Danny O'Brien on drums. This lineup played around the Great Lakes, and all over Southern California for about ten years. This is also the band that recorded the Kingbees third album; Song and Dance. It was available only on cassette and was sold at the gigs for five bucks. The most rare Kingbees album. Thanks for posting this, Jamie. D.O.
@jeffharing their best gigs were at the hermosa beach lighthouse, with the stage only 2 feet high NEXT to the dance floor.jamie would pack the house.and the beach was only100 feet away.
My buddy and I use to follow the Kingbees at all of their L.A. gigs - the Palomino, Madame Wongs, Hollywood, even out in Siera Madre (what's the name of that club?). I hired Jamie James to play at an event in Agoura Hills in the late '80's off of Kanan Rd. It was a bust but we had a good time!
Are they still together???

Great video! Do you know what year this was taken? Is it prior or post Michael Rummins? Thanks!
