State of the State 2011 | Governor Haley Barbour | MPB

Gov. Haley Barbour delivered his final State of the State speech on Tuesday urging legislators to spend tax dollars cautiously in the next fiscal year and calling for legislators to add troopers to the roads and broaden access to quality education.

Haley pardons 4 Murders, who were trustees at Miss. gov mansion ? Barbour pardoned four convicted killers who worked as trusties at the Gov's Mansion, including a man who was denied parole less than 2 weeks ago.

Relatives of victims told The Press Mon, officials notified them the convicts were released Sun. .The pardons outraged victims relatives. Lawmakers called for an end to the custom of governors' issuing such pardons . Prisoners earn privileges through good behavior
