When someone asks you if you believe god exists, and you answer, "I'm agnostic; I state that it's impossible to know", you are not answering the question. You're not being asked what you know. It is understood that we can't truly "know" anything, but were not talking solipsism. The questioner doesn't care what you know, 100%, with-out-a-shadow-of-a-doubt, to be true. The questioner is asking you what you believe. Either a god does exsist, or does not. What do you believe the answer to be?

@amsterstorm that's what i'm trying to say. I simply don't have an opinion. I don't disbelieve or believe, not because I don't know enough or because i'm "scared" or whatever, I simply don't care. It's kind of hard to explain but I understand myself. the reason i don't consider myself an atheist it's because the're no different than christians(at least the ones I've met) they hear the word "God" and immediately they start telling the theory of evolution from memory

I'm saying there is no middle; you do or you do not believe in a god. The question is not "do you believe a god could exist?", but, "do you believe a god exists?" Get it? Not could one, but does one. When the agnostic responds "its impossible to know", the only statement being made is that one must be open to the possibility. Well, so what? We are all open to the possibility. Honesty demands we admit that belief is currently irrational. To live life not as a theist is to live as an atheist.

Anyone who has no religious/ spiritual doubts is retarded. A bunch of elitist snobs came up with a way to control morons on a massive scale over 2,000 years ago, and some people still have that power to this day. @amsterstorm Well actually there could very well be a neutral position.For one if your agnostic about something it means you are unsure,so the answer would be "maybe"or "there could be".Its like are you republican or democrat,well Im neither,Agnostic is not a permanent thing,usually the individual might be learning the arguments for both sides and still deciding. Unlike theist or atheist it can pertain to more then just religion. Such as Im agnostic about the possibility of alien life.

@amsterstorm i knew you wouldn't get it... lol dude a lot of people want other people to stop talking about religion and shoving it down your throat(like you i assume)... i'm not saying they should all stop stating their beliefs. I said "shove down your throat"... it's two completely diffferent things. I wouldn't mind if people just stated their beliefs. But that never happens. It's either you're right or you're wrong.
