Viktoria had such beautiful form on the unevens, this is not her best. She has the most effortless, flowing transitions on bars I have ever seen.

This was one of her best routines but she could not have medalled. She hopped on the dismount, muscled out every inverted giant and broke form on her pak. She also didn't have the best lines or toe point.

@yngtxtopbear They took away the team medal because without Dong's scores they wouldn't have finished on the podium, the two Chinese medalists in this final were determined to be of age, but Yang Yun who edged out Karpenko said in an interview she was underaged, but took it back. Ling Jie on the other hand shouldn't have been on the bars podium at all so Karpenko is deserving of a UB medal either way!

Wasn't she suppose to have been moved up to a bronze due to Dong being underaged?

such a shame. karpenko should at least share the bronze. she missed out on AA medal due to a fall on her floors, and now she had a near flawless bars routine and still didn't medal.

I still think she should have medalled. I like her style better than Khorkina's- just my preference.
