go to a good high performance driving school like bondurant or skip barber. you'll actually learn quite a bit, and the rest of us will be safer for it. also, cyclists have the same rights to use the road that you do.

I agree with you fully! Too many people who are in cars and trucks seem to think our life's are important enough to move over, we have just as much of a right to be on the road as them. Many people don't know, remember or care what the laws are when it comes to cyclist and that's sad. Don't be ignorant and share the road with cyclist and for those who thinks its funny to run a cyclist off the road, i take down there licences plate number and turn them in. :) so keep that in mind assholes!

Pedestrians - Cyclists - Mopeds - Motorcyclists - Cars/Vans/Light trucks - Trucks. Around roads that's the hierarchy - car drivers, on average, have the least driving skills.

Again, you miss the point I am trying to make.It doesn't matter how much wear you cause,or whether there are more idiots behind the wheel or not.In a collision with a vehicle, the driver is protected by a steel box,a cyclist is protected by lycra.I speak from experience having a car miss my front wheel by a few inches where I had the right of way.I was in the right, but if contact had been made,I would be dead, whist the driver would be filling in his insurance claim.

How about the cyclists pay a proportional amount in relation to how much wear they do to the road, which would be next to nothing. I don't like to see cyclists who don't wear the correct gear either but I also don't like to see drivers overtaking cyclists on corners, giving them no space whatsoever. If we were to say that there are an equal percentage of idiot cyclists as there are idiot drivers then there are a lot more idiot drivers out there.

The only butt-hurt around here mate is what you feel when you forget to put a seat on your bike.My point being, there are too many smartarse cyclists who think they have the same right to use roads as people who pay dearly for the right to drive on them.Everyday while commuting I shudder as the road is shared between 1500kg cars doing110km/h and a cyclist weaving in and out of the traffic flow. The worst case scenario appalls me as I don't want a death on my hands.

hmmm, yea, don't know where you're reading in my comments that i said it's a good idea to piss off people in cars. we actually have bike lanes here as well, and usually cars are using them as turn lanes, etc. all i was saying was bikes have equal rights to the road. never realized i would cause such butt-hurt with my innocent comment

How about stopping your whining and face reality.Wanting to piss off drivers while on a bike is akin to diving in a pool of sharks wearing a fish oil impregnated wet-suit.It is your right to do so,but not wise.Drivers have the right to drive without dick-heads in lycra with a fuck you attitude to other road users, being arrogant wankers.I don't know where you live, but in Sydney there are bike tracks everywhere, safer for cyclists and you can run over as many pedestrians as you want.

wow, that's awesome! so cars (actually people driving cars) don't need to drive safely and take care? good idea! yea, and registering and insuring bikes that travel at 20 mph another stroke of genius! so in your mind-- riding a bike = guilty; driving a car = innocent. that's so cute!

I'm a cyclist also but your attitude sucks donkey balls. When cyclists pay the $2200 per year to register and insure their vehicles like I do, then you can claim equality. The number of cyclists that have caused me near misses, from driving at night without lights, riding side by side on narrow roads and most of all riding carelessly on motorways. When I cycle I always respect drivers and don't act like a petulant ,spoilt child like many cyclists do.We are vulnerable and need to take care, not cars.
