In the commercial when they transform Blaster, they do not fold out the arms before transforming. Look there and you'll see what I mean ==>

Dam he was my faverite from the comics I had soundwave but always wished I had this guy :) by the way his gun is a magnetic disrupter rifle from what I remeber from his storyline smelting pit from the uk comics, i think there was a guy in that story called strxus that got a toy made as weel, im not sure if blaster was just usa issue but I never found him here
