Laid-back western swing by crooner Tommy Duncan, former singer of Bob Wills and his Texas playboys. This was recorded in the 1950s after he'd quit the playboys.
My Mom told me for years that Tommy wrote this about the Southern Club in Lawton but later I learned in the write up about this album that he didn't write the song. I still remember the neon stars over the bar there even though I was only about 12 which was 56 years ago. I remember Tommy too. Of all the musicians who passed through the club, he was very special.
