  • so is your piston inside the big tee? and forgive me if i sound stupid but im new to this, but is the big tee a QEV?

  • @gunsRfun11 It is a piston within the tee. QEV means "quick exhaust valve" and is a commercially used valve (which you can also use for these kind of projekts).

  • sorry but how does your piston slides inside? I didn´t see any space for a piston, a QEV style diaphragm may be? And I think i heard leaks of your 3/2 valve after you disconnect the gun from the compressor =/

  • @wyz2285 The piston is a washer with a thin sheet of rubber on a guide rod and travels only 8mm. The "leak" that you hear is the tiny gate between pressure source and chamber which closes when you push the trigger.

  • If i get this right, the black thing is a chamber that u fill then you put the trigger in, then the trigger is at the bottom/back, it will open the exhaust at the back, this creates a low preasure that opens the valve to the "barrel". All preassure in trhe chamber will blow, then the "chamberpiston" will then return and seal then you start pulling the trigger again. Do i get it right? :)

  • @padda4 You got it right.

The "black thing" is 1" steel pipe covered in bycicle inner tubing (for the looks).

    Take care.

  • Certainly there will be no how-to video on this valve because it is a pain in the @ss to grind a rod for it on a drill press.

Maybe and just maybe I could do an animation if I find the time and a good editing software that runs on Win7.
