Wrong - wrong - wrong. You are confusing your inferior personality with you shadow; they are NOT the same. Your Shadow is ONLY in your unconscious - no tthe inferior part of your ego.

For an ENFP - your darkest shadow personality is ESTP (SeTiFeNi); when you think about it, these are the people who really grate you. ISTJ on the other hand is one of your preferred relationship compliments; a perfect match and definitely NOT shadow. We use our inferiors under stress; we use our Shadow to project.

@InterPersonality You are assuming there is one truth about this. We are aware of that aspect of shadow theory...we are simply proposing are own. I admit it comes from a more literal interpretation of jungian shadow. That is not to say we object to the standard theory as you describe it here...we are just playing around and suggesting another possibility.

@nfgeeks If you took a look at the Socionic Typology, you would be pleased to see that you were "indeed" on to something. There, the relationship between (what may respond to) an ENFp (IEE) and an ISTj (LSI) is very similar to the one described by InterPersonality. ESTp in socionics would be your Super-Ego partner, hence the adversity.

@interpersonality this shadow functions being the opposite orientation from your normal functions isnt jung or MBTI, its beebes model.. Which honestly is quite ridicilous, connecting archetypes to functions simply doesent work out when you look at function in more depth and understand that undifferentiated functions merge themselfs to other functions. This 8th function for example is 4th leading 1st function unconsciously, making the 4th just look as if it changed orientation.

..should realize those things you are connecting with Ne are just subjective facts of Si, or else you might make some connections which are simply delusional(which Si dom might see you doing all the time). But when realizing that you are using Si all the time also and realizing that those things are just subjective truths, you remove Si from your shadow(at least part of it), because its no longer unconscious. And when you realize that you are doing this Si thing yourself you dont have to ...

..to realize that these things are in you, they become out of the shadow and are now in your ego and wont be projected. For example an ENFP might see that some people are living in their own little Si world and doesent realize that there is more to the world than just subjective facts he might even critisize those people and think they are retards because he sees so much more connections in external world. But Ne is basically just combining subjective facts without realizing it and you really...

..current sense of self, so its painful to see the opposite(of your conscious attitude) in you. This is also why those opposites have been repressed in the first place. But because your unconsciousness nevertheless is able to see the opposites in you, so when you see something vaguely reminding you about them, they evoke something in you, but since ego tries to block them and those things need a channel to manifest itself somehow, you project them in external world. Most of this is true, but its not that simple. Functions in shadow are those that are repressed or yet to be realized, thus working unconsciously. Some child ENFP might have FiTeSi in his shadow, but someone bit more mature might only have Si bit on the shadow. It depends on the level of maturity really. Also i its more important to look at shadow from non typology perspective, shadow is basically all that you are unconscious of in you. How it plays out is that your ego wants to maintain the....
