This is a piece for double choir by Jacobus Gallus Carniolus a.k.a. Jakob Handl, 1550-1591. This was recorded in December of 2001 in a church with two separate choir lofts, which is the idea venue for works like this.
The Capital City Men's Chorus (CCMC) of Austin, TX was directed by Dr. Jeffrey Jones-Ragona. The chorus that year was rather sparse in first tenors. We ended up with a total count of two in the first tenor section of the second choir. That was the closest to soloing I was or ever wanted to be since high school. I was badly flat at one point in a performance. Luckily this one was not marred as much.
