Can you ride jet skis there? Like if you brought one. I plan to live there for a couple years. In the not too distant future.

Are you out of your mind? Turn that peaceful, gorgeous, idyllic villages in a sort of tacky American resort with your jet skis and tackiness. Go to Florida to ride your jet skis and don´t spoil the last places like Cinque Terre polluting it with your noise!!!

No. The surf is too rough and the beaches are minimal. Better choice would be somewhat north of the area, in Portofino which is more harbor-like.

FYI, the cost of living is high in the Cinque Terre, so high that much of it's service industry lives to the south in La Spezia. Many of locals choose to live away from the area for the high tourist season, because the apartment rental rates for tourists can actually provide the owners with a sizable income in an area with few well-paying jobs.

Nice, yes it is a great place. I actually plan on owning a villa out there, one from which I will rent out to tourists. Great video btw! =]
