This band was not only kick-ass extraordinary, they were also gorgeous!!! Saw them numerous times in Pittsburgh and Cleveland, and only stopped when Alice dumped his bandmates and took the name for himself...then added Kip Winger and the Dancing TOOTH to his concert repertoire!! KIP WINGER?? PLEASE!! If you want to see the REAL band at their creative best, check out the live version of "Black Juju" on Youtube...EXCELLENT!!! Alice..PUT THE BAND BACK TOGETHER & TOUR WITH THEM ONE MORE TIME!!!

Paul Stanley is wearing Alice's jumpsuit on the cover of Destroyer.

This is the studio recording MINUS the horns and the vocals. Alice is doing the vocals Karaoke style. The band are miming. The horns actually obscured Glen's solo on the record. We can actually hear Glens amazing solo now!

It was common to have the performers sing live (or sing along) to a music bed track.

Yesssss

School's Out on Top Of The Pops has a live vocal but a backing track as when miming was banned on that show and some bands weren't up to scratch the musicians union agreed bands could mine providing they were in the studio and had played on the song
In case anyone wants to know: I've uploaded all of the outtakes from this performance.

YES THERE ARE!
you need to listen again, there are 2 guitar licks just before the solo starting at 1.06 and ending at 1.12 these are not on the recording that appeared on Killer and are a different style and sound to Rick Derringer's solo that Glen mines to on OGWT but those 2 licks before the solo are played by Glen Buxton

Ooh, those 2 fills, you're right. Reasons for change 1) There are no trumpets in the track (as you mentioned earlier) because there are no trumpeters with the band, so it would be confusing to the people at home 2) The fills are part of the backing track, I know this because I just checked another outtake where the band mimes the whole song, and the fills exist in that video as well. Any questions?

the other take where they stop doesn't explain why on the take that went out on OGWT there are extra guitar fills which are played by Glen Buxton just before Rick Derringer's solo that weren't on the studio version.

@stevencrayn There are no extra riffs. Name the time that you are talking about. The only difference is that you can hear the guitar solo in this track.
