This demo is for the VFE Pedals Alpha Dog distortion. A special thanks goes to Ezekiel Lords for playing in this demo. You can check out his current projects with Ideofone & Bone Cave Ballet at the link below.

In this demo, the following were used:
VFE Pedals Alpha Dog distortion -- http://www.vfepedals.com
Guitar: Ibanez S5470 with stock pickups
Amp: Bogner Alchemist 112 combo
Recording Gear: Shure SM57 mic & Radial JDX-1 through M-Audio Fast Track Ultra

I seem to have the curse of strange phenomenon occurring during recording sessions. For some reason there is static discharge throughout the recording. Obviously, this is not from the pedal, but it is definitely annoying!

  • Thought the first clip was great - I know you referred to static but you know what the pedal is supposed to sound like - most of us dont - i would hate for this video to put people off your stuff - when they can't tell what is the pedal and what is a recording fault - if i were you i would just bin this vid - and put it down t bad luck - this pedal is killer dude, but is sounds crap on most of this vid. S.P.

  • @slugpumper1 I know the recording didn't turn out great, but I still want people to get a sense the range of the pedal. I'm not afraid of a bad recording as long as the real deal sounds amazing. The sad part is that is did sound killer in the room, but the recording issues don't translate well for a YouTube demo. When I have the budget to do it again, I certainly will.

  • Great demo! Really showed the versatility, probably the only one on YouTube which does just that.

  • I know where you are coming from - the pedal covers a lot of ground - I could get a good feel for that from the Jet City demo and Brett Kingmans' piece with combined delay unit was simply staggering - I hope you have better luck next time with the recording Gremlins - all the best from the U.K. S.P.
