@PhiloAmericana I think nobody is sure why he did it, only reason could've been a senior officer ordering him to do it. Winters said he wasn't court-martialed because Speirs was too valuable to lose.
-
@berserker276 I'll read the work. From what I understood, it was simply a rumor that he allowed to spread. Even if he did, I can hardly complain. He was protecting my country, and Germany and Japan drew us into war.
-
@PhiloAmericana Actually, he did kill them, he told Winters. He never told the men because he used fear to his advantage. Read Winters book and you'll understand it a bit more.
-
He also did never killed those Germans. He even states this later in the series.

Ronald Spiers left Scotland at four years old, and spent his formative years in Portland, Maine. He ended up dying in Montana. He was damn proud to be an American. Keep your fucking mouth shut.
-
@warmadscot Spiers was an American, you fucking idiot. He moved to America as a child, grew up there, and served in our forces. Get your shit straight.
-
@Grunt922 The Japanese were worse though.
-
@PepperDr94 they did worse to our soldiers. they put them in work camps, starved them, beat them, tortured them, and worked them to death.
-
WHY THE FUCK DID THEY DO THAT?!
-
@Neivlak I think he told Winters that he did.
man Speirs is like the MOST likely to find a career as a modern-day SEAL
