I had taken several videos from the moment I went oustide to go to work to document the day. The total snowfall amounts were between 18 - 24 inches in my area. This weather was stressful for us and the young calves. The adult cattle didn't mind it too much as they ran, romped, and fought in the snow.

  • Hi. Really like your videos. I've some questions(hope You will answer) How do your cows endure such a weather ? Are they willing to go outside to feed themselves(btw, how cold can it be during winter out where you live?)What is your avarage milk yield(litres/pounds/cow/year?) Is milk yield affected by such severe weather? Thanks for answers. Keep up with new videos:)

  • @1ppp11 The cows really like the colder weather and milk better during the winter months compared to the Summer months. Production ave for the Winter time is about 85 lbs and about 70 lbs during the Summer months. It can get below zero during the Winter months in my location.

  • the lil calf that has the red head is cool... wats it by?

  • She is a Scanidinavian Red - Holstein cross. The other is an Advent-Red.

  • The guy with the blue gloves doesn't seem too happy. I wouldn't wanna mess with him lol.

  • HaHaHa!!! That "he" is actually a "she." She gets that all the time LOL. She actually blew her stack and had a curse fest that would've made a sailor blush. Too bad I shut the camera off just as it started. It was really funny and I would've posted it too :)

  • I'm an "animal advocate", and have spent too many hours suffering thru videos revealing the tortures of "factory farm animals". What a joy, to actually see animals well taken care of...seems you really care about them.

  • Yikes, my bad :\

  • Thanks. There is about 2K rented/owned acres. About 50% is owned. It really flucuates from year to year with the rented acres. We seem to lose a lot each year for various reasons.

  • Nice video bud. How much land do y'all own? 5*
