this guy has is a lot of talk, he said many things which are slanted or just untrue. first, we still dont know for sure if what we experience when we die is DMT. sleep is also just not one giant psychedelic trip... and also he mispronounces the word pineal, so clearly he really doesnt know exactly what hes talking about when hes trying to educate us about the wonders of the brain.

Joe Rogan sure does love to state theory as fact. I fully advocate DMT, however I DO NOT believe that dreaming is a dmt trip. I've done both and they are nothing alike whatsoever. There is no hard evidence of an increase in DMT during REM sleep, Rick Strassman just theorized about it.
