"Christmas in The Country" was inspired by an actual event in Chisholm's life where his Family spent an old fashion Christmas at there Cottage deep in the Forest.
The entire trip consisted of a 3 hour drive, 2 hour train ride and 6 hour snowmoble ride in which they then took part in such retro rituals like making there own gifts from scratch, decorating the tree with pine cones and popcorn strings. The cottage was heated with a wood stove and fish would be caught daily from a small hole in the lake. Shane can recall his mother making their cloths and wearing them Christmas day
