This is a love song and I'm not sure the artist, Rosie Thomas, intended it to be anything but that; and it is wonderful as it is. The Bible teaches us there are similarities between a husband's relationship with his wife and the wife with the husband to the church of God, the bride of Christ, the Lamb of God. Love is of God. It is He who designed marital love. We are to present ourselves to our beloved both pure and spotless. Even if we fail or if love fails us, Jesus will never fail. HIs sacrifice on the cross was His love song to us. His love is our covering and our cleansing. Because He loves, we can love each other.
Ephesians 5:25
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. (NIV)

  • @arydae Thank you! That is interesting about your friend. I believe all the images are from photobucket.

  • The photos you've selected are just so feminine... I love them. I discovered you have a picture from a friend's wedding. I was so surprised to see it! Funny how the world is a "global village". Gob bless you!

  • @salparadise63 Again, thank you for your comment. I do believe that God created marriage and loves it even between two who don't believe in Him.

  • @beanscot Genesis 2:23-24 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;

    she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
