Watch in 1080p fullscreen for best result.

Video and pictures taken with my Canon 550d and Skywatcher 10" reflector telescope. (i refered to it being an orion scope in video but mistake by me its a Skywatcher).

Intro recorded with canon 550D and 50mm 1.8 lense at 1080p 400 iso.

Big jupiter recorded at 640x480 crop mode (middle of frame not whole frame allows zooming in)

Small jupiter recorded in full 640x480.

Moon video recorded in 1080p HD.

Photos taken by mixture of tripod mounted looking into an eye piece and adapter fitted directly to scope.

Interested in a online roleplaying game about space ships.

  • Opinions: 1. use a good tripod especially one made of carbon. They are very sturdy. 2. When shooting videos, always try to "center" the "main object". 3. Videos look out-of-focus (point to note is that I also have the same reflector telescope and they appear much sharper even after using a 1.4x teleconverter.) 4. I think you missed this hard- when shooting illuminated objects, decrease ISO to 100-200 (for moon) and 400 (for jupiter). Otherwise they will appear like glowing bulbs in a noisy sky.

  • @neo4evrr Thanks for the info. in the 2 years since this was made i think i have managed to figure it out now :). Still saving for a tracking mount to hopefully get some better images. got new eyepieces and things and had a lot more practice hopefully soon i will get round to uploading a new vid. Good to know peeps are still finding it and again thanks for the tips.
