Sony BDP-S470 Blu-ray disc player (region code unlocked) - Unboxing and initial testing/mini review

Just a quick look at my new Sony BDP-S470 Blu-ray disc player which is region code unlocked to handle all DVDs and Blu-rays. In this video I show the features, and test a few discs to make sure it's fully functional. It also can handle some DivX videos.

Some other noteworthy specs:
-3D ready
-Two USB ports
-Wireless network ready (adapter required)
-Netflix, Pandora, Fearnet, YouTube, and many more online video options

So far I am very pleased with this unit.

@memine230 no idea! that's why I went with buying one that was promised to be unlocked, so I didn't have to do the work haha. sorry I can't be of more help.the sticker on the back says "Code free, Multi-zone ABC."

@memine230 hey just a follow up I checked this again and that was actually a sticker I think they put on it after it was modded, under the sticker is just region A.

Nice player! The quality does look really good... Blu Rays are nice! although they do take a little longer to load...

Bluray unlocked?

These 470's are the hardest disc players to unlock. Sony are such tightwads with this & their FAT32 restriction. There are no unlock codes so don't even think about looking for one. There are, however, a series of hacks requiring a One For All URC remote to execute. But as far as I know these hacks only guarantee region free playback for DVD. Unsure about blu-ray.

@KissCover2009 I'm honestly not sure. I bought mine from ebay where they guaranteed it to already be unlocked...but I wouldn't know how to tell if the one you buy is or not. Sorry I can't be of more help!
