  • 5 months still no resolution. The adjuster ordered a "third party" engineering co to come evaluate the damage to the burned home. Later on I had some private investigators do some work for me. Turns out that the engineer who did the "unbiased" 3rd party evaluation is good buddies with the Travelers adjuster. This is the poster child case for bad faith on behalf of Travelers and Geico.

  • Situations like this are what makes us lose what little trust we have in companies. I know how bad the structure is and it's downright WRONG what they're doing to you. I hope you sue them for everything they're worth! Good luck.

  • @potophan89 Travelers issued me a 34k check with instructions to "get started" on the rebuild process. Problems is no builder will get started on a $90k job with a check for $34k. The contractors can't pull permits for one third of a job or blueprint. Adjuster Mike Seymour advised that once the contractor gets started they can negotiate with him for more money to finish the home. BTW- no reputable contractor will even consider working with this adjuster or Travelers. Their reputation is Sh**

  • This is what happens when there is not enough regulation by the government to enforce proper payment on claims and when insurance companies find it better to just stiff their customers, rather than do what's right!

  • @PolkDoll Local business leaders and political leaders emailed me after seeing this video on you tube. They are appalled and I am glad. Investigative journalists also emailed me- interested in filming the home for a political documentary on insurance fraud. The right wall of the home is buckling and breaking. Another unsafe liability that I cannot stop in any way with the measly $34k alloted to do a repairs quoted between 80 and $95k by reputable contractors.

  • Insurance companies will never see the POV of any claimers way that's why their resiliency is solely based on the lesser means than of the whole. Basically their not in the business of losing capital no

matter what Liability is at stake. I feel you brother, although we ourselves are dealing on separate issues ours involving an auto accidents in which we were the victims of fraud claims in which we are not at fault and our providers are completely ignorant to acknowledge our situation, I thin

  • I only watched up to 5 minutes, but from what I can tell you are misunderstanding how policy works. What was the coverage limit on the dwelling, per your policy? If it was 34,000 then there is no possible way to get more, no matter what the "current value" of the home was, nor does it matter what contractors say it will take to repair the home.
