@KingSlimjeezy there is a difference between was and is. In the modern world the US is NOT the most humane and fairest nation of them all. >100 years ago perhaps but not now. This is not the US my ancestors fought for and would probably try to instigate a revolution again.

Also, the US was not the only republic at the time, UK had a parliament and there was the united provinces before napoleon conquered them.
