did you initially use a leash with him to get him to stay on there? or did you just put him up there and he went to town? my weim gained 8lbs last winter haha and lost it during the summer...i think she's getting fat again...

I would not use a leash.. That could be very dangerous. I just stood over him at first while he ran so he couldn't jump off. Then I slowly moved farther and farther away from him. Now he will run by himself until I stop it.
