6,5 tb on 7 drives here. Even if its hoarding it feels great, and there is no damage at all.

If the drives are full, buy new ones. Its easy and they are cheap as shit.

My room is clean and the data is sorted nicely.

@Catapult82 I compulsively download HD movies and lossless discographies. I also hate getting rid of old games and movies I've downloaded, so I simply store them. I've got 4 1TB drives, with another 4 2TB drives coming in the next year. Am I a data hoarder?
