This is NOT a rain forest. Rain forests don't have three month dry seasons. Khao Sok is a tropical monsoonal forest or a tropical evergreen forest. It used to be a rain forest before humans cut down most of the jungle in Thailand to plant rubber trees... thus changing the climate.

I found where wild elephants lay down at night by getting off the trail and a big green lizard landed on head. It's one of the oldest forests on Earth.
