Although I agree with you, look at it this way. The cell phone is an existing connection to the digital world. But in this case he is using paper as a medium to connect one to the digital world. He is connecting people who perhaps are currently disconnected in many ways.

Its highly practical..
Most of the times we use the sticky pad to paste on the desk.. however when we move out.. we are not in touch of them..
on the other hand, when we keep notes online.. when we are off line.. we loose track of them..
This one is a nice combination.. a human touch to technology..
I hope it remains cheap like sticky pads..

There is a mobile one for this kind of sticky notes, it can save notes in a memory by regular hand writing and then upload to computer
