@SauronsEye not really true. it depends. a manager cannot be everywhere at all times, and that is rather obvious. The issue is two-fold: are they NORMALLY on the floor, or are they NORMALLY hiding in the office, and how do they handle this incident. Employees always whine about their bosses. Often, what they say is NOT true...they are simply upset that someone expects them to work for their pay. Also, it is AMAZING how many people bitch, then do EXACTLY the same if promoted...

@masskilla469 It's things like this that means the buck stops with management because management should ensure their staff ALWAYS do the right thing and ensure the staff know that if they don't do the right thing, the staff will be out of a job and why management can sometimes be sent packing too for not ensuring safe work practices are always followed.

I'm a forklift operator. Of course what they are doing is against safety policy, but what they're doing is not that horrible. We drop palates at my job all the time, it's no big deal. Easy to clean up and these multi-million dollar companies can afford to loose a palate. No big deal honestly.
