Kuralt was the perfect host for the perfect Sunday morning program, a news show that does not get you depressed. It is still a wonderful show and Osgood is fine but you miss Charles Kuralt`s wonderful voice with his lyrical lilt. He could announce the end of the world and make it seem o.k.

I just came across a reference to Charles Kuralt. As a person who also suffers from autoimmune disease, this is personal. Of course, the reference to Clarence Day is the thing that puts this over the top. The kids who might stumble upon this won't remember Charles and they CERTAINLY won't remember Mr. Day.

This show reminds me of my Dad, rest his soul. I woke up with Charles Kuralt voice on the telly and it's like a warm hug, it's home. I got weepy just hearing his wonderful, distinct voice. He was a TRUE host, his presence left a gap that is a chasm now.

I remember this . Sunday Morning  was a great show. Charles Osgood was fine, better than most, but Charles Kuralt was the very best.
