Kuralt was the perfect host for the perfect Sunday morning program, a news show that does not get you depressed. It is still a wonderful show and Osgood is fine but you miss Charles Kuralt`s wonderful voice with his lyrical lilt. He could announce the end of the world and make it seem o.k.

Thank you thank you thank you -- finding this little gem was like a surprise meeting with an old and much missed friend. Poignant and tender. Thank you.

This show reminds me of my Dad, rest his soul. I woke up with Charles Kuralt voice on the telly and it's like a warm hug, it's home. I got weepy just hearing his wonderful, distinct voice. He was a TRUE host, his presence left a gap that is a chasm now.

This aired on Easter Sunday. I watched it.

I remember waking up at my Grandma's house and hearing two things. First, the refrigerator running with its mild and somehow pleasant hum. And second, Charles Kuralt's distinct voice welcoming his audience to another Sunday morning. It's one of those deeply ingrained memories that will never leave me. When I hear his voice, I am transported to another, perhaps better, time and place.

The Next Day Charles Osgood would be the host.

Pride of UNC.

A beautiful, graceful American writer and broadcaster.

I never met the man but I loved his contribution to CBS news. Charles had, in my opinion, just about the coolest job you could have- he got to travel around the country in an RV and report about what he saw. The only other person I can think of who has an equivalent job would be Samantha Brown on The Travel Channel. . . . she is that reporter who travels all over the world and gets to stay in 5 star properties (and write about it) .

Charles Kuralt was one of the best.... He was also a fellow North Carolinian. RIP, dear sir.

I remember this . Sunday Morning was a great show. Charles Osgood was fine, better than most, but Charles Kuralt was the very best.

For once, I'd like to see Osgood wear a necktie, not a bowtie. He's a news anchor, not a goofy scientist.
Does anyone knows what date this aired??
