  • Jesus still obeys his father's ten commandments because he is subject unto the will of the word of his father. Meaning Jesus has no other god before his father-Exd 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before me(referring only to the father). My God is the God of Jesus, my father is the father of Jesus. Jesus is not my God, he is my Lord(Phl 2:11) and Savior, and one of my brothers in father God's family-Jhn 20:17.

  • @StuffOfIndignation - I would strong suggest you read your Scripture more carefully regarding who Christ claimed to be. It is very important that you know Him. As He said,

"I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be." - John 8:24

The Jews knew who Christ was claiming to be.

"We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." - John 10:33

  • To that they will just say, "oh, it's just for the jews then". I know from experience.

  • @keksinnot - I understand. They either cannot read or do not believe the Word of God.

"A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward

and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is

circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit Romans 2:28-29

All the Family of Yahweh - are Jewish - by the Spirit.

  • @richardperry2 Do you subscribe to replacement theology? I believe Sha'ul was speaking of the Jews in particular in that passage. We cannot and should not believe we are Jews. There's still a delineation between Jew & non Jew. In scripture it says we're grafted in to the nation of Israel but we're never called "Jews". We're being made in to one Body. In several places, Sha'ul points out the differentiation between Jews & non Jews which he called gentiles whether followers of YHVH or not.

  • @BornInTzyon - My answer is above.

  • @Jimvesterstallone Col 2:10 and you(Church) have come to fulness of life in him(Jesus), who is the head of all rule and authority. 2Pe 1:3 His(father) divine power has granted to us(Church) all things that pertain to life and godliness..2Pe 1:4..and become partakers(Church) of the divine nature.

  • @Jimvesterstallone Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell..For in him(Jesus) the whole fulness of deity dwells bodily-Col 2:9. All that Jesus Is, was bestowed to him by his father. Jesus's life, deity, Lordship, spirit, power, and all things he inherited, were given to him by his father. Because he is the only son before all and in him the father holds all by his life giving spirit in him.

  • @Jimvesterstallone Act 17:29 Being then God'(father) offspring, we ought not to think that the Deity..Act 17:31 because he(father) has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man(Jesus) whom he(father) has appointed..

Rom 1:20 Ever since the creation of the world his(father) invisible nature, namely, his(father) eternal power and deity..

  • @Jimvesterstallone The rendering "church of God" would mean that it is God who died and shed blood on the cross. This would contradict other bible verses that teach God is Undying(1Ti 6:16; 1 Timothy 1:17) and that God is a spirit (John 4:24), has no flesh and bones (Lk. 24:36-39), and therefore has no blood. It is the Lord Jesus Christ's blood, which washed the members of the Church of their sins (I Pt. 1:18-19; Rev. 1:5).

  • @Jimvesterstallone Peshitta Aramaic Text which when translated into English, reads: "Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to the whole flock over which the Spirit of Holiness hath constituted you the bishops; to pasture the church of Christ which he hath purchased with his blood."

  • @Jimvesterstallone Therefore, take care of yourselves, and of all the congregation in which you have been appointed through the holy Spirit as bishops, to shepherd the church of Jesus Christ, that which he established by his blood."(Disciples New Testament)

  • @Jimvesterstallone Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed your overseers, to feed the church of Christ which he has purchased with his blood." - Acts 20:28 (Lamsa version)

Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to the whole flock over which the Spirit of Holiness hath constituted you the bishops; to pasture the church of the Meshiha [Christ] which he hath purchased with his blood."(Etheridge Translation)

  • @Jimvesterstallone 2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord(Jesus) that bought(by his blood) them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

the assembly of God, which he has purchased with the blood of his own.(Darby).

the church of God which he bought with the blood of his own Son. (JB).

  • @StuffOfIndignation Wow. KJV, NKJV, Amplified, NASB, ASV, NIV 1984, NIV 2005, and even the new NIV 2011 and the NLT all preserve this verse from the Greek, but you searched and found one that did not. Read up on this - the word "son" does not occur in Acts 20:28 in ANY Greek texts.

If you are bent on denying the deity of Yeshua, my great God and Savior Jesus Christ, you might enjoy the NLT. It removes His deity more than any version I've ever seen. These men have no fear of God.
