people shouldn't take any "mistakes" made in QI in general seriously. it's a game, not a documentary, and they don't purposefully mean to injure anyone. it's just british humour, in all its weidness.

Also, sorry for taking that joke seriously at all, but I do feel the need to establish that the reason many white South Africans left the country was not racism, but because the country was poorly off, and only now could their passports actually be accepted. I don't want to come off as one of those minority groups that's offended by everything, but I really haven't met any white South Africans who are still racist at all - they certainly wouldn't be in another country.
