QUEZON CITY, Philippines--Filipino indie band "Workshop" caught the attention of American rock band "Firehouse" when they uploaded their cover for song "I Live my Life for You" on YouTube. Firehouse was ecstatic, acknowledging Workshop's performance and even embedding the video on their official Firehouse MySpace page. In one of their gigs, INQUIRER.net executive editor Leo Magno chats them up while INQUIRER.net multimedia production specialist Janie Christine Octia takes the video. • To the Guitar Player: What is your rig set-up? Type of amps, racks or pedals or integrated floor pedals? digital or analog delay? do you also use voice harmonizers or special fx for vocals? Also is it hard to find other musicians in quezon city or manila / makati area? Im a guitarist that wants to form a band as well but Im here in Canada. I have my own rig. amps, guitars and special fx rigs. Im into rock blues fusion & progressive rock (Not metal). thanks and keep rockin

  • @MrHardrod2 Hi there, I'm using a Zoom3000 guitar effects and an S-series Ibanez with a Seymour Duncan single coil pick-up and PAF DiMarzio humbucker. I always go straight to the Board mixer that's why i never use guitar amps during gigs. Zoom3000 has a built-in talkbox which I use on some harmonies on the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Mr Roboto".

  • @workshopband ayus gud sir! :))

  • GALING TALAGA!! ^^

  • @67goldtops You're the dirtbag comic. A monkey ass licking dog breath mongoloid with a huge butt-plug up his ass then tries to be funny because nothing else comes out of your mouth except verbal diarrhea. Keep licking your own feces from your butt plug, you goofy mongoloid. Im sure your Puerto Rican boy friend will give you another dirty Sanchez next time around. Eat shit, you dishwasher. Keep washing does dishes and scrubbing those pots and pans clean, you mongoloid freak.

  • @MrHardrod2

"Are there other musicians that I can collaborate with?" What a useless douche. Yeah, YOU'RE the guy who's asking someone on youtube if there are "other musicians that you can collaborate with." COMICAL, really. That shows the level of your drive & imagination. Yeah, you're just BUSTING with creativity, aren't you Network Boy!! Complete incompetence! Rather than just DOING it, you ASK about it on youtube. It's not like you can jump on line & find dozens of dudes to jam with. Joker.

  • @workshopband I noticed you guys do a lot of classic rock music which is great. I also like classic rock but I have been into blues rock fusion for the last two years. More into the lines of Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, Andy Wood, David Grissom, Steffen Schackinger, etc. I also noticed a lot of Thai and Korean guitarists on Youtube that are extremely good. Are there any musicians into that kind of music in Manila? Those are my influences now and hope I can get some musicians into this too.

  • @workshopband Thanks. I have three guitars (a Fender Strat HSS, A Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster and an Ibanez Lawsuit Les Paul 1976) and have two multi-fx floor pedals. One Line 6 Floor POD and a Boss GT-10. I have a shitty Fender reverb amp for pratice but was thinking of gettiing a good amp on sale here later. Is it difficult to find other musicians to collaborate with to jam and possibly get a good band together? I was think if I move to Manila, I could get a group together. thanks

  • I just wanted to add that Im also into original music. I have a few ideas already that I have experimented with and might really work. Are there other musicians that I can collaborate with? Im a bit older too but still into music and have been for a long time. I also look the part (tats included) and dress the part.

  • What do you mean by INDIE? Daming ibig sbihin nyan mga bro.
