I suppose while cold turkey by Lennon is definitely about withdrawl, sister morphine tries to capture the state of mind called "craving". - Withdrawal, which has been described as "like having the flue' is a minor issue compared to craving which haunts the addict for the rest of their lives. Craving can make a person insane.

oh no no no, Marianne was a wonderful singer at one point. What you see here is the result of years of drugs. Look up her performance of "something better" at the rolling stones rock and roll circus.

sorry Luc but Marianne never had a great voice she always sang very flat and was never good on stage - and believe me I saw her at least 7 times in concert but ... but I still like her though I think she's overated--- all that fame because of the drugs +Mick Jagger, nevertheless I have a great admiration for her : A true great surviver!!!

she's one of the best female vocalists i known, her voice is incrideble, thank you Marianne for this GREAT VERSION of 'the sister'
