Obesity is more often a problem of what you eat rather than how much you eat. people who eat three fulls meals a day have HEALTHIER weights than people who skip on or more to try and lose weight. food companies don't use unhealthy ingredients to harm us, they use them because unhealthy ingredients are cheaper, and food made with unhealthy ingredients is as well, cheaper.

@lukestrode89 also, food stamps doesn't cover prepared foods. no fast food restaraunts or ihops or applebee's.

@lukestrode89 if you have you'll notice they're ridiculously expensive. tans are a sign of wealth now, because you usually get them during leisure time. tanning beds, outdoor hobbies, surfing, etc. simply put. healthy food is more expensive than unhealthy food. how much do you think McDonald's pays for the ingredients in their food? very, very, very little. High fructose corn syrup and other artificial and unhealthy ingredients in food are much cheaper than their natural counter

@lukestrode89 Actually... obesity is a sign of poverty now. just like a tan is a sign of wealth. in the past, the rich were heavier because they ate more, and the poor were tan because they had to work outside. in older paintings a picturesque woman was always pale and a little on the chubby side, now in art youll notice the ideal woman is pretty skinny, hip bones being very attractive now. the problem is the healthy food is more expensive than the unhealthy food. been to an organic grocery?

@DavidMPetty do you honestly think that any of these people that are getting food stamps are going to make the healthy choice and eat right if given the chance? will they buy crisco and mcribs rather than a salad with some tuna on top?

Did you read the second phrase in the video. "Food Insecurity means the lack of access to enough food...or to NUTRITIOUS FOOD." Like below. It's possible to be fat and malnourished. Sure, these people might not ever be "hungry", but they'll die of other problems that arise because of their malnourishment that is a direct result of their food insecurity.

@DavidMPetty go to the 99cent store. not mcdonalds. you get alot more food for cheaper. fat = royalty in the old days. THESE PEOPLE ARE WELL FED . ALL THE TIME. IF THEY WEREN'T, I'D BE ABLE TO SEE THERE RIBS. I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE ONES THEY SHOVE IN THERE FACE DAILY

why is everyone in this video obese??? i thought people were supposed to be starving... this all makes no sense. yes i'm sure all of them are hungry.... but who wouldn't be hungry if you ate ALL your problems away. this is a JOKE. truly a BIG FAT JOKE. if you went to a third world country they would laugh at you if you told them you were a STARVING AMERICAN.
