When I was 17-years-old The Jefferson Dancers had the honor of working with Modern Dance legend Donald McKayle. He set two of his classic works on us, "Games" and "Rainbow Round My Shoulder." Working with Mr. McKayle was one of the highlights of my dance life. I was cast in "Rainbow Round My Shoulder," but not in "Games." So, I'm not in this video, but I'm uploading it to my dance account because I loved watching this piece, and I think Jefferson Dancers did this dance very well. This dance about childhood innocence and police brutality dates from the 1960s, but it's still very pertinent today.
