can you recommend a good affordable choice of paper to use when painting with watercolours? I'm interested in starting but i don't know what kind of paper will give the best results, like a certain smoothness. also, what type of brushes are appropriate? I doubt you should use the same brushes you would use for acrylics. Nice paining btw :3

I use Saunders Waterford 200lb 100 % rag paper but 140 lb is also ok. Dont worry to much about the brushes, sable is best but synthetic ones are OK so long as they are fit for watercolour, ask in the store. Cheaper paper will have a tendency to dry with harsh lines when you try to blend. I could go on and on about the need for good quality in paper but haven't got the space, hope this helps.
