@sarodplayer I am a desciple of Pt.Nayan Ghosh and Buddhadev dada is also like my own Guru. I have been blessed to have attended a workshop by the maestro and have greatly benefited. I never miss his performances at my guru's school. He is the greatest and the last legend of Sarod.

@DEUTSCHLANDDUDE I am a student of Pt. Dasgupta. I have heard countless records of his and also Amjad Ali. This is definitely my guruji's idiom/ musical speaking style.

As noted in the comments by several people as well as the subscriber, the picture is of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. However, the sarod baaj is unmistakebly Pt. Dasgupta. He is the seniormost exponent of the Shahjahanpur Gharana, made famous by his guru, Pt. Radhika Mohan Maitra, aka 'Radhu Babu'.

are you sure this is Pt.Dasgutpa? I have recording where it mentions that this is Amjadji.

@DEUTSCHLANDDUDE I have had the same thought for a little while and while I was uploading. But this track can be found on the album "Magical Moments in Rhythm". On that same album, you can find that Panditji's name is credited to this track.
