That's the difference between now and then. We didn't have to go look for it. This was our music, this is sold out concerts, sold albums, and put radio stations on the map. If we have to go looking for it then it's not that great in the first place. As far women in rock go nothing touches the 80's. JJett, Lita Ford, Pat Benatar, Ann and Nancy Wilson, It reads like the who's who of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There is nobody who will ever do what these ladies did, especially the scrubs today.

You did not find them then ether. They where few and far apart like today but there are a few good ones today too. Paramore has a strong lead singer for one, and there are lots of special bands with female lead singers with strong voices. Dont forget that the 80s was not just good music, there where some terrible once too.
