Yeah, it is not hazardous because it would be prodigiously more expensive than $5.70. I checked a small UV disinfectant device to used to kill bacteria costing over $70.

Did you pay the $5.70 for it or was it more than that? Is the UV light function hazardous since some UV lights may carry come risk of causing cancer if shined on someone? Does the UV light disern "protein stains" from like CSI?

Yes I paid $5.70 in full including shipping. I don't think the UV is hazadous but to be certain you can ask DealExtreme on the bottom of the page of the flashlight. Just follow the link in my description

I'm not sure if it works on blood but it works on urine. Haven't tested it on blood. They have now lowered the price for it...just follow the link in the description
