HAVA / Sony Vegas 8.0 Quality Test

I haven't used my HAVA in awhile so just testing some settings to try and get the best quality. I'm considering getting a Hauppage PVR. It seems to be able to record videos to 720p (HAVA records 720p signals, but the actual video you get output to your PC is a lower quality 720x480 video), which would mean my videos would look alot better. It also connects straight to your computer via USB (HAVA requires going through a router connected to your PC) which means I could bring this to my college campus too.

I use Sony Vegas 8 to work with my video files and I notice there is a slight sound lag. I don't understand what is causing this, because the video files originally output by the HAVA are synced perfectly.

The original video file is 720x480, and in Sony Vegas I set it to 1280x720 resolution so that there is an HD option.
