Mercedes 480bhp C63 AMG coupe, with optional power upgrade, already has more than enough power to trouble its rear tyres. What happens when you remove some of that grip? Good things, that's what.

  • I really liked this. This was awesome. What an idea. Make a car more fun to drive... o.O ??!

Who would ever do that today? Only a few.

What a simple idea with such an awesome result.

  • I suppose this is why the Toyota GT-86/Subaru BRZ is hailed as a handling orgasm, cos it has puny tires!

  • The reason he says it's fun is because he likes to drift. This has nothing to do with the tire size, it has to do with what he likes and in this case has achieved by use of smaller tires. If you look at all the videos he drives in he is drifting. I'm not saying he's a bad driver, but what he likes to do may be different than what you like. I'd rather have grippy tires than cruddy slippery ones any day on a fun road.

  • Isnt this one of the guys from autocar?

  • how is 125 1/3rd of 255? 125+125=250....

  • Technically we should be driving like robots on the street and saving all the fun for the track... or else they'll get you!

  • Speeding or Drifting = STILL ILLEGAL

don't get me wrong I love to drift more than speeding but doesn't make for a very good moral

  • Great, now we're going to see a bunch a Civics and Integra's running spare tires,

  • Can't believe I'm seeing this... It actually appears to handle 'better' - you can be well within the limits & know it's not going to grip as much, therefore the speeds are lower. Also narrower tyres are more eco - not quite the point of this car obvsiuluy, but an interesting combination. Fantastic video.

  • interesting video. conclusion is debatable.

  • Its on rollerblades!
