Sea lion colony on Floreana island, Galapagos

Day 2 - first time snorkelling in the Galapagos and landed on the dinghy to beautiful sandy beaches completely covered in sea lions. Completely unafraid of humans, you can get right up next to them and they won't budge.

It was a little overcast and the weather isn't amazing in September (although there were still some really hot, sunny afternoons), but its perfect for for wildlife viewing - the cold undercurrent in the water (Humboldt?) bring an abundance of food for the animals meaning baby season for some, and mating for others.
