I think the relation between Bette Davis and Lauren Bacall is like that of a mother and a daughter. They are quite alike with one another. Surely she keeps walking on the same path Bette had walked on years before. Lauren Bacall is another Bette Davis. I love both of the actresses. I think Bette must have been very proud of her role Margo Channing played by someone who idolized her and imitated her.

This is very beautiful

HAHAH this was my high school musical back in 06/ my senior year, we were suppose to do a chorus line but the show was on tour at the time - I was Duane Fox - I wasn't thrilled when I heard we were going to do this, I never even heard of it, but it's such a clever show and the music is way fun. Besides just a musical version of "All About Eve" it's a satirical but insightful view of theatre.

I wish Backstage Babble hadn't been reduced to just the background track here.
But I'm LOVING THIS!

Lauren Bacall and I have always adored Bette Davis. And the role of Margo Channing belongs to another great actress besides the two: Anne Baxter.
The plot is exactly based on that of All About Eve. Thanks for posting this clip.
I think Bette Davis must have been proud of the role being played by her pals.

@coolkid1234533 This is a telecast of the 1970 debut, so it's 6 years later :) Also, she had no makeup or special lighting in "The Shootist" to suit her character.

It was based on ALL ABOUT EVE!

If you watch this, and then go watch The Shootist (which is only three years later) she looks so much older in it! What happened???
-
wait is this a rip off of All About Eve?
I'm speechless!!!! I'm 16 and a huge fan of Lauren Bacall! I've been looking forward to this for so much time, and here in Italy it's absolutely impossible to have a chance to watch it! Thanks so much!!!

Wow! She still looks quite sexy here given her age! It's so weird because she looks VERY different in "The Fan" (but I won't say more about that, I'm a big fan I don't want to talk negative about her) As the performance, I wish she would have take on more bubbly roles like this :) Great to see her so lively
