KU Alumni Profile: Cynthia Carroll

Cynthia Carroll earned a master's degree in geology at the University of Kansas in 1982. She is the first woman to become chief executive at Anglo American, one of the world's largest independent mining companies. She was named the fourth most powerful woman in the world by Forbes magazine in 2009.
