It's just the same, the only difference is the Newer it has the PS3 Logo instead of Sony Computer Entertainment logo in the startup and the song is a little bit more longer than the new one. That's it

i like that old boot logo before the game starts....they should kept that....
is there a way to use that on a JB PS3?

God I loved that pre-game jingle. I love the rest of the updates that they have given us but they shouldn't have taken this away :(

Ah I remember when I first had resistance fall of man and this was so fitting with the ps3, good memories and the logo was so fitting.

Both the PS1 and PS2 had a start-up sound and a game boot sound. The PS3 HAD a game boot sound but now Sony finds it better to completely remove it??
Oh one more thing, the new PlayStation logo sucks. I loved the old PLAYSTATION 3 logo
