An expose showing the remains of a former nuclear base that claimed the lives of 53 men on August 9, 1965 in Searcy Arkansas. This was the worst missile accident in history.

  • Questions

    1. was that a dog or an alarm in the pipe scared the shit ou of me a few times

    2. What was the helicopter in background??

    3. Wouldnt the silo still have military personel around it?

    4. The warhead was removed does that mean the rocket is intact?

    5. Will u even dig in and see it?

  • @2Kremlin We must confess there was no alarm sound coming from the pipe. The helicopter also was just special effects. One thing I would like to point out for everyone- you will see a new bucket style crane in the picture. Why? A large gas production plant is within 100 yards of this area. I suspect this area is connected to an underground military base.

  • just a spoof on military control. We were fine. That place is very odd with no landmarks...

  • y did 59 people die

  • my god i know what that is if it is burnt thats a vent for the fire if a missle is launching a nuclear missle to be correct

  • @bobrav I commanded one of the crews that baby-sat the silo during the many months after the fire and before reconstruction began. It was really spooky. Very limited lighting, no a/c, and the blast doors to the silo were wide open so you could look straight down the cableway to the place where all those guys died. Definitely not my favorite tour of duty.

  • @metalpresstv Still Questions cause im Russian

    1. No ground personel around were u were

    2. Dig and find out/ see if anyone cares

    3. Why next to a gas plant

    4. What do u think they are doing

    5. It it fully sealed off

  • what was that noise?:O

  • You might, if you own the property, be able to tunnel down to the launch control center adjacent to the silo. In the Eighties the silos were imploded but the launch control centers were just buried.

  • i heard the noise at the end of the pipe in the vid freaky

  • No mysteries here fellas....A fire started in the silo during construction work. Two workers survived. The Titan 2 missile was fueled and in the silo but DID NOT explode. The warhead had been removed from the site PRIOR to the start of construction. The complex was off alert status for the next 13 months during the accident investigation and repairs.
