The header connectors are just plain nonsense, easy prototyping is out completely !
They should have included a .1 header connector, also the LCD module should be removable and the PIC18F4550 must come preprogrammed with the Pickit2 firmware, this is a dev kit not a production board.
Also I hope they replace that horrible and expensive DB9 connector with an FTDI or MC USB/Serial device.
